Biography
Marlene Cooper ( December 15, 1986) is a rising star in the world of digital painting. She was born in Long Island, NY, and began drawing comic books at the age of 10. Throughout her teens she developed a unique aesthetic which blend surrealism, concept art and impressionism. During her college career she began a series of digital paintings which reinterpreted fictional characters in video game and Japanese anime using her own style. She received her Bachelors of Fine Art in Art Education from Adelphi University and is currently completing her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Teacher Leadership at Concordia University. She teaches Visual Communications in the STEP program for the City Central Program in Richmond, VA.
